  1. Why won’t my plant flower?

There are many reasons why the plant is not flowering, but the most common is not enough light. It needs at least twelve hours of filtered bright sunlight each day.

  1. If using artificial lighting, how many hours do they require daily?
    The lights should be on for twelve to fourteen hours daily. They still need a sleep.
  2. What temperatures do they like?
    They like an even temperature and do not like sudden changes eg at 2am in the morning when the heating is off. They grow best between 18 and 27 degrees Celsius, with a night temperature of not below 15.5 degrees Celsius.
  3. What sort of potting mix should I use?

If using a wick watering method, in order for the system to work, a light mix of peat moss, vermiculite and perlite at the correct Ph of 6.5 to 6.8.

  1. Should I fertilise?

Yes, in order to get abundant flowers, a good nutrient solution at the appropriate dilution should be used.
